Cruks stands for Central Register of Exclusion from Gaming. The Cruks register is a list of people who are not allowed to participate in high-risk games of chance.
Holland Casino and other providers of certain games of chance (e.g. amusement arcades and online sports betting providers) are obliged to check whether you are registered in this register. If you are listed in it, we may not grant you access.
To enable this check, we need your personal data. Make sure you provide us with the correct data.
When registering in Cruks with DigID or paper form: always include your id proof. A Dutch id proof must be provided with a citizen service number (BSN). If you fail to do so, we will rule out any liability and access to the casino may be refused.
Then you are obliged to register with it.
Then register yourself with name, date of birth, and place of birth as they appear on your id proof.
People listed in the register are not allowed to participate in games of chance. Therefore, every time you visit Holland Casino or another licensed gambling provider (online and offline), a check will be carried out to make sure you are not on the register. Your BSN will be used for the first check. Cruks will then create a unique code for you based on your BSN. From 1 October, this unique code will then be used on every visit to check whether a guest is registered as being excluded from playing games of chance.
We are obliged to share your BSN with the Gaming Authority once; we will then receive an encrypted unique code (the “Cruks code”) that we register in our system. After submitting your BSN to the Gaming Authority, we will delete your BSN.
On subsequent visits, we can easily check whether or not you are registered in Cruks by using this Cruks code. The security of your data in Cruks is the responsibility of the Gaming Authority, who manage the register. They will handle the information with the due care and attention required by law, and only designated employees will be allowed to view the register.
Holland Casino can only use your personal data to check whether or not you are registered in Cruks. We cannot see any other background information of the registration, or why you have been registered. From 1 October 2021, if you are included in the register as being excluded from playing games of chance, we are no longer allowed to receive you.
More information about Cruks can be found on the Gaming Authority's website. Here you can also read how you can register yourself.
